At the WA State Department of Corrections, we offer nursing professionals the opportunity to treat patients in a team centered clinic focusing on total patient care in accordance with our Health Care Plan. DOC nursing professionals have the opportunity to work with patients who represent a unique and underserved population while gaining experience through hands-on education. We have perm and on-call RN's and LPN's openings and all our facilities located in Washington State at the following areas: Monroe, Forks, Aberdeen, Shelton, Gig Harbor, Walla Walla, Spokane, Littlerock, Clallam Bay, Connell, Vancouver, and Belfair.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Two yrs. experience working as a Registered Nurse.
Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in the State of Washington as a Registered Nurse.
Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR.
Proficient using computer-based programs to schedule, monitor and track patient information, perform data entry, and word processing, and communicate via email, as well as other programs that may be needed to complete assigned work.
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
Preferred/Deisred Qualifications:
Experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting or a correctional facility.
Certification as a Correctional Healthcare Professional.
