Licensed-Eligible of Licensed individual needed for RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY TEAM COUNSELOR at a crisis stabilization and detoxification program, located in Lebanon, Virginia. This position provides counseling and treatment services to assist individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders to recover from crisis episodes. Responsibilities include providing counseling (both individual and group) to individuals in the program under Temporary Detention Orders and/or crisis activities. These services may include reviewing the petition, conducting risk assessments, developing Individual Services Plans (ISPs), evaluating need for suicide precautions, orienting program individuals to the legal process, meeting with the Independent Evaluator, being a liaison to other programs/agencies, the Special Justice, and Legal Counsel, providing required information, completing required documentation, resolving TDO status, etc. This position requires dedication to a recovery model for persons at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. This position will require flexible work hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays. Tentative schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., but is subject to change based on program needs.
Incumbent must possess a Master’s degree in a human services field AND be licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) or licensed-eligible in Virginia, approved by the approriate licensing authority. One year of clinical experience is required. Valid driver’s license and good driving record also required. Candidate must pass all CMCS background screenings.
