California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking an experienced psychologist, like you, to assist in gathering and analyzing performance measures within Kern Valley State Prison’s Mental Health Services Delivery System (MHSDS) and Developmental Disability Program (DDP). Here, you’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians committed to providing optimal care, promoting patients’ successful reintegration into society, and reducing recidivism.
In this role, you will:
Conduct DDP and MHSDS patient evaluations, record reviews, and program requirement audits
Review and analyze mental health program performance measure data, report findings, and make recommendations for corrective action
Travel statewide to audit and review other institutions’ mental health programs
Participate in quality improvement programs and initiatives, Interdsciplinary Treatment Team planning sessions and case reviews, and the Suicide Prevention Committee including serving as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator
Provide emergency psychological evaluations and treatment
