As an integral member of multidisciplinary teams, California-licensed pharmacists, like you, provide clinical guidance to help ensure the safe, efficient, and effective use of medication therapies in the treatment of California Correctional Health Care Services’ diverse patient population.
In this key position, you will:
Prepare, manufacture, dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical preparations
Review patient charts and medication regimens
Participate in treatment team meetings and provide ongoing consultation to the treatment team and medical review committee
Implement/and or maintain unit dose system
Depending on location, you may also monitor anticoagulant therapies and advising providers on complex conditions such as Hepatitis C, HIV, and Substance Use Disorder
