California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking knowledgeable CA-licensed Nurse educators well versed in professional nursing principles and techniques to lead in the development and implementation of training, educational, and competency programs for nursing staff.
In this key position, you will:
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate all orientation, In-service Training (IST), and continuing education programs; research teaching modalities and advise others on training principles and practices
Design and initiate competency and skill performance activities
Provide classroom and individual employee training
In addition to a BSN, to qualify for this role, you must also have:
A valid California standard designated subjects teaching credential with specialization in vocational trade and technical teaching or equivalent credential OR
Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in teaching nursing or in staff development OR
One year of experience as a Registered Nurse (possession of a MSN may be substituted for the required experience)
